- 1 cup quick-cooking grits
- 3 cups water or chicken broth
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Cajun Shrimp:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp oil
- 2 tbsp DASH Salt-Free Cajun Seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter

Directions
- Cook the grits. Bring water or broth to a boil in a saucepan. Whisk in the grits and reduce heat to low. Cook according to package directions, stirring occasionally, until thick and creamy. Stir in butter and cheddar cheese. Cover and keep warm.
- Season the shrimp. Pat shrimp dry. Toss with oil and DASH Salt-Free Cajun Seasoning.
- Cook the shrimp. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until just opaque. Add garlic and butter, tossing until fragrant and lightly saucy.
- Assemble. Spoon creamy grits into bowls. Top with Cajun shrimp and drizzle with the buttery pan sauce. Garnish with more DASH Salt-Free Cajun Seasoning and sliced scallions.
