Old-Fashioned Cole Slaw

- 3 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup purple cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup carrots, shredded
- ½ cup red radishes, sliced thin
- 1/4 cup green onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tbsp cider vinegar
- 2 1/2 tbsp Dash™ Salt-Free Original Seasoning Blend
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp sugar
If it’s your turn to bring the cole slaw, let this crowd-pleasing dish have its day in the sun. While low in carbs and sodium, this cole slaw is definitely high in taste.
Directions
- In a bowl combine the cabbage, carrots, radishes, and onion. Set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the oil, vinegar, Dash™ Salt-Free Original Seasoning, sugar, and lemon juice until well combined.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until the vegetables are evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate the coleslaw for 2 to 3 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
- Just before serving stir to redistribute the dressing.
Tips
- Chef’s Tip -For a pop of color and extra flavor, add a handful of chopped fresh herbs like parsley or cilantro to the coleslaw just before serving. It brightens up the dish and adds a fresh, herbal note.
