Ingredients

  • 3 cup chicken breast boneless skinless, diced
  • 5 tbsp canola oil, divided
  • 3 tbsp Dash™ Salt-Free Original Seasoning Blend divided
  • 2 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 1/2 cup celery, thinly sliced
  • 11 oz can mandarin orange segments, drained
  • 1/3 cup almonds sliced, toasted

Directions

  1. In a bowl, combine the diced raw chicken with 2 tbsp of canola oil and 1 tbsp of Dash™ Original Seasoning.
  2. Heat a pan over medium heat and add the seasoned chicken. Cook until the chicken is fully done, then set it aside to cool while you prepare the dressing.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together 3 ttbsp of oil, vinegar, orange juice, 2 tbsp of Dash™ Original Seasoning, mustard, and honey until well combined.
  4. Once the chicken has cooled, add it to the dressing along with the celery. Toss everything together until well mixed.
  5. Before serving, gently fold in the orange segments and almonds.

Tips

  • Chef’s Tip - For the best flavor and texture, cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for at least 3 to 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the ingredients to fully meld together.
