- 2 lb lean beef for stew, all fat trimmed, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 lb baby potatoes, washed
- 3 each celery stalks, washed, cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 3 each carrots, trimmed, washed, cut into 1-inch slices
- 1 each large onion, peeled, cut into 6 wedges
- 1 1/2 tbsp Dash™ Original Seasoning
- 8 oz tomato sauce low sodium, canned
- 15 oz crushed tomatoes, canned
Coming home to the aroma of savory beef stew is certainly something to smile about. This stew is full of wintery favorites such as potatoes, celery and Dash™ Original Blend to ensure hearty, comforting flavors.
Directions
- In a bowl toss the stew beef pieces in the flour, shaking off any excess.
- In the bottom of the slow cooker, add the baby potatoes, celery, carrots, and onion wedges. Place the floured beef pieces on top of the vegetables in an even layer. Sprinkle the Dash™ Original Seasoning over the beef and vegetables.
- Pour the tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes evenly over the beef and vegetables.
- Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours, until the beef is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.Stir gently before serving.
