Cheesy Taco Quesadillas

- ½ cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 Tbsp. Dash™ Taco Seasoning Mix
- 1 cup Mexican cheese, shredded
- 8 each 8-inch flour tortillas
- 2 tsp. olive oil
These easy-to-make quesadillas are perfect for a quick meal or snack, delivering all the delicious flavors of tacos with the gooey goodness of melted cheese.
Directions
- In a bowl, blend the cream cheese and Dash™ Taco Seasoning. Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Spread an equal amount of the cream cheese mixture onto one side of four tortillas followed by ¼ cup shredded cheese then top each one with the remaining tortillas.
- Preheat a non-stick pan over medium heat.Brush olive oil on one side of a quesadilla and place it oiled side down in the pan.
- While cooking, brush the top of the quesadilla with olive oil.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes, then flip and cook an additional 1-2 minutes or until browned and the cheese is melted.
- Repeat with the remaining quesadillas.
- Cut into triangles and serve with salsa, sour cream and/or guacamole if desired.
Tips
- Chef’s Tip - To make the quesadillas heartier, add cooked ground turkey for extra protein, and serve them with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole for a flavorful, satisfying meal with a variety of textures and toppings.
