Ingredients

  • 1 Pound Ground Beef, lean
  • 2 tbsp Dash™ Steak Grilling Blend, divided
  • 2 oz Cheddar Cheese, reduced fat, Cut into 4 equal slices
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 Each Onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp Dark Balsamic Vinegar
  • 4 each Hamburger Buns

Directions

  1. Preheat grill or broiler, Line baking sheet with foil.
  2. Shape into eight 4-inch round, flat patties and season on both sides with 1 tbsp of Dash™ Steak Grilling blend.
  3. Place a piece of cheese on top of each hamburger patty, top with a second patty and press down firmly, sealing the sides by pinching together.
  4. In a medium pan heat oil over medium heat. Add onion, 1 tbsp Dash™ Steak Grilling blend and sauté onions on low heat until soft and browned. Add balsamic vinegar and stir in with the caramelized onions.
  5. Meanwhile, place burgers under preheated broiler or grill and brown patties on both sides until juices run clear, about 3 minutes per side.
  6. Top burgers with onions and place in bun to serve.
