- 1 whole chicken,
- 3 tbsp Dash™ Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 12 oz can beer
You’re guaranteed to make a juicy bird when you mix a can of beer with Dash™ Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend. Share this tasty chicken with your friends and family.
Directions
- Preheat grill to 450°F.
- Remove giblets and fat from inside the chicken and wash chicken and pat it dry with paper towel.
- Season inside chicken cavity with 1 tbsp Dash™ Garlic & Herb Seasoning.
- Rub oil followed by 2 tbsp Dash™ Garlic & Herb Seasoning on outside chicken.
- Open can of beer and pour out half into a frosty mug.
- Hold chicken upright with the opening of the cavity down, set the chicken down onto the half-full beer can.
- Place chicken in preheated grill on indirect heat, cross legs form a "tripod" to help keep it stand on the beer can while cooking.
- Close lid and cook for approximately 90 minutes, check breast temp has achieved 170°F and thigh 180°F.
- Let stand 5 minutes before carving.
Tips
- Chef’s Tip - For even more flavor, try using a flavored beer (like an IPA or a citrus wheat beer) or swap the beer for a spiced cider or even soda, depending on your flavor preference.
