Beer Can Chicken

Ingredients
- 12 oz can beer
- 2 tsp olive oil
- 1 whole chicken,
- 3 tbsp Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend
Directions
- Preheat barbecue grill to 450 degrees.
- Remove giblets and fat from inside the chicken.
- Wash chicken and pat it dry with paper towel.
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of seasoning inside body cavity of chicken.
- Rub outside of chicken with olive oil, then rub remaining 2 tablespoons of seasoning all over outside of chicken.
- Open can of beer and pour out half into a frosty mug.
- Holding the chicken upright with the opening of the body cavity down, set the chicken down onto the half-full beer can.
- Place chicken in preheated barbecue grill on indirect heat.
- Place the legs of the chicken off to the sides to form a “tripod” to help support the body of the chicken on top of the can.
- Close barbecue lid and roast for approximately 90 minutes or until the meat reaches 170 degrees in breast and 180 degrees in thigh.
- Let stand 5 minutes before carving.
