Red Beans & Smoked Turkey Recipe
Smoky turkey gets a flavor kick with Dash™ Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend. A hearty side dish for a chilly winter evening.

Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 tbsp Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
- 1 qt smoked turkey wings or drumsticks
- 3 cup rice
- 1 lb dried red beans
- 1 qt cold water
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
Directions
- Sort and wash beans.
- Place beans in 4-quart Dutch oven; cover with water 2 inches above beans.
- Soak for 30 minutes or overnight.
- Drain.
- Add celery, onion, Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend, turkey and water to the Dutch oven.
- Bring mixture to a boil.
- Reduce heat; cover and cook over low heat 2 to 3 hours or until beans and turkey are tender.
- Remove turkey; cut meat from bone; mix meat into beans.
- Cook rice. Toss rice with 1 tablespoon Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend if extra spice is desired.
