Jerk-Style Pork Chops Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 6-oz. center cut bone-in loin pork chops
  • 1 small jalapeo
  • 1 tbsp Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ginger
  • 1/2 tsp ground allspice
  • 2 tbsp Original Blend
  • Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
  • 2/3 cup orange juice

Directions

  1. De-seed and mince jalapeño.
  2. Combine orange juice, brown sugar, Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend, jalapeño, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and allspice.
  3. Bring orange juice mixture to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat.
  5. Simmer 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat; cool.
  7. Brush each pork chop with orange juice mixture.
  8. Place pork chops in resealable plastic bag or baking dish with cover.
  9. Pour any remaining orange juice mixture over pork chops.
  10. Cover, marinate in refrigerator 6 to 8 hours or overnight, turning once.
  11. Drain marinade from pork chops and discard marinade.
  12. Place pork chops on broiler pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
  13. Sprinkle each chop with Original Blend.
  14. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 6 to 8 minutes on each side, until pork chops reach an internal temperature of 160 degrees.
