Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp egg substitute
  • 4 tbsp Hamburger Grilling Blend
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 lb ground sirloin
  • 2 oz reduced-fat cheddar cheese, cut into 4 equal slices
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 thinly sliced medium onion

Directions

  1. Combine ground sirloin, 3 tablespoons Hamburger Grilling Blend and egg substitute in a medium bowl.
  2. Shape meat mixture into eight 4-inch round, flat patties.
  3. Place a piece of cheese on top of each hamburger patty, top with a second patty and press down firmly, sealing the sides by pinching together.
  4. Heat olive oil in a medium skillet and add onion, remaining Hamburger Grilling Blend and balsamic vinegar.
  5. Sauté onions on low heat until soft and browned.
  6. Meanwhile, place burgers under preheated broiler or grill and brown patties on both sides until juices run clear, about 3 minutes per side.
  7. Top burgers with onions and place in bun to serve.
