- 1 lb turkey, ground
- 4 tbsp onion, minced
- 1 cup breadcrumbs, fresh
- 1 egg, beaten lightly
- 1 tbsp Dash™ Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend
- 1 tbsp Dash™ Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend
- Crisco® Cooking Spray
- 4 hamburger buns
- ½ cup sweet onion, sliced
- 4 slices tomato
- 8 slices cucumber
Turkey burgers with a lemon twist. Healthy, zesty turkey is great for the heart and soul.
Directions
- Preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat.
- In a bowl, gently combine ground turkey, minced onion, breadcrumbs, egg, Dash™ Lemon Pepper Seasoning, and Dash™ Garlic & Herb Seasoning until well mixed. Shape the mixture into four evenly sized burger patties.
- Lightly spray both sides of each patty with cooking spray.
- Place the patties on the preheated grill or under the broiler. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- While the patties are cooking, toast the hamburger buns until golden and crisp.
- Place the cooked patties on the toasted buns and top with sweet onion slices, tomato, and cucumber. Serve immediately.
Tips
- Chef’s Tip - For extra juicy burgers, make a slight indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb before grilling. This prevents the burgers from puffing up in the middle and helps them cook more evenly.
