Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp quick-cooking oats
  • 4 seeded or whole-wheat hamburger buns split
  • 4 slice real California fresh mozzarella cheese, about 1/4-inch thick
  • 1 lb ground beef (95% lean)
  • 2 tsp Original Blend seasoning

Directions

  1. Place oats in food-safe plastic bag.
  2. Seal bag securely, squeezing out excess air.
  3. Roll over bag with rolling pin to crush oats to a fine consistency.
  4. Combine ground beef, oats and Original Blend Seasoning in large bowl, mixing lightly but thoroughly.
  5. Lightly shape into four 1/2-inch patties.
  6. Place patties on grill.
  7. If using a charcoal grill, cook over ash-colored coals, covered, for 11 to 13 minutes.
  8. On a gas grill, cook over medium heat, covered, for 7 to 8 minutes.
  9. Turn occasionally until instant-read thermometer inserted horizontally into center registers 160 degrees.
  10. Line bottom of each bun with lettuce and tomato; top with burger and cheese slice.
  11. Close sandwich.
