Ingredients

  • 12 each White mushrooms medium size, cleaned
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1 tbsp Dash™ Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend
  • 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Try this delicious Stuffed Mushroom recipe from Dash™. Garnished with breadcrumbs, this fancy appetizer will be gone before the party even gets started.

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Remove the stems from the mushrooms and finely chop them. Set the mushroom caps aside.
  3. In a small pan, melt 3 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped mushroom stems, onion, celery, and Dash™ Garlic & Herb Seasoning. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the mixture is golden brown and fragrant.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the breadcrumbs and sour cream until well combined.
  5. Spoon the filling lightly into each mushroom caps, taking care not to overfill. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet.
  6. Melt the remaining butter and mix it with the lemon juice. Drizzle this mixture over the stuffed mushrooms.
  7. Bake the mushrooms in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the mushrooms are tender.

Tips

  • Chef’s Tip -For extra flavor and texture, sprinkle a little grated Parmesan cheese on top of the stuffed mushrooms before baking. This adds a delicious golden crust and enhances the savory taste of the filling.
