- 12 each White mushrooms medium size, cleaned
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup finely chopped celery
- 1 tbsp Dash™ Garlic & Herb Seasoning Blend
- 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup reduced-fat sour cream
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Try this delicious Stuffed Mushroom recipe from Dash™. Garnished with breadcrumbs, this fancy appetizer will be gone before the party even gets started.
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Remove the stems from the mushrooms and finely chop them. Set the mushroom caps aside.
- In a small pan, melt 3 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add the chopped mushroom stems, onion, celery, and Dash™ Garlic & Herb Seasoning. Cook for about 10 minutes, or until the mixture is golden brown and fragrant.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the breadcrumbs and sour cream until well combined.
- Spoon the filling lightly into each mushroom caps, taking care not to overfill. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet.
- Melt the remaining butter and mix it with the lemon juice. Drizzle this mixture over the stuffed mushrooms.
- Bake the mushrooms in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the mushrooms are tender.
Tips
- Chef’s Tip -For extra flavor and texture, sprinkle a little grated Parmesan cheese on top of the stuffed mushrooms before baking. This adds a delicious golden crust and enhances the savory taste of the filling.
