Spicy Phyllo Triangles Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 cup melted butter
- 20 sheets (18 x 14 inch) phyllo dough, defrosted
- 10 oz package frozen spinach, thawed, drained and squeezed dry
- 15 oz can pear halves or slices, drained and chopped
Directions
- In small bowl, combine feta, spinach and pears; mix until well blended.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
- In small bowl, combine butter and Extra Spicy Seasoning Blend; mix until blended.
- Keep warm.
- Working quickly, open one phyllo sheet on flat surface; brush lightly with butter mixture.
- Layer and butter three additional sheets (stir butter mixture to ensure spices are evenly mixed); cut lengthwise into eight strips.
- Using rounded teaspoonfuls, place filling 1 inch from end of each strip.
- Fold one corner at end of strip diagonally across filling to form a triangle.
- Continue folding over filled portion to reach opposite end of phyllo strip to form a multilayered triangle.
- Place triangles seam side down, 1 inch apart, on ungreased baking sheet; brush tops lightly with additional butter mixture.
- Repeat four more times with remaining phyllo dough and filling.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from pans; serve immediately.
- Tip: Phyllo dough dries quickly when exposed to air; do not remove from package until ready to assemble.
- After removing, cover immediately with plastic wrap and damp towel until ready to form.
- Triangles can be prepared ahead and frozen for up to two weeks.
- Form triangles as directed.
- Do not butter formed triangles.
- Place triangles in VacuSeal Bag in single layer; seal and freeze.
- To bake, remove frozen triangles from bag and place directly on ungreased baking sheet.
- Brush with Spiced Butter.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 20 to 24 minutes or until golden brown.
