  1. Peel turnips and cut into 1-inch chunks.
  2. Place them in a saucepan with water and 1 teaspoon of salt.
  3. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until turnips are tender.
  4. In a separate saucepan, heat milk and melt butter together until milk starts to simmer.
  5. Drain turnips and mash (this can be done in a food processor); add milk and butter slowly.
  6. The turnips should be very smooth.
  7. Season with Lemon Pepper Seasoning Blend.
  8. Place in a casserole dish. When ready to serve, sprinkle generously with onion rings and reheat.
